The Story of Pitambari Products
The company was founded by Mr. Ravindra Prabhudesai & his father Late Mr. Vamanrao Prabhudesai. The idea was to create a dynamic organization, where hard work and improvisation would be the guiding principles in business. Today Pitambari is a leading manufacturer & exporter of premium quality products in their domain offering an array of products. Their manufacturing facilities are located in Ganpatipada (Maharashtra), Vadodara (Gujarat), Baddi (Himachal Pradesh), Angaon (Supe), and Talawade (Rajapur).
We have worked with Pitambari before, where we provided laboratory furniture for their Flavours and Fragrances division in Dapoli. This time they approached us for their second project in Rabale plant to expand their Research and Development division.
The Challenge of Redesiging 11 Laboratory Rooms
In their Rabale plant, they had 11 labs for different R&D functions. They wanted us to redesign those 11 rooms to make the most out of its space because they faced issues with the space as it was not user-friendly at all. Moreover, storage management was also a problem as they keep their raw materials and other objects in the lab. This project was to be completed within 4-6 weeks without them having to suffer their work schedules.
Why Pitambari Chose Furnace
They've had a great experience working with Furnace on their first project in Dapoli Site. So they decided to continue for their Rabale Site. They liked the fact that we provided a solution-driven approach and delivered the project within the specified time frame and budget.
How Furnace Responded
We visited their site and understood their problem from the project team. We met their users and managers in detail so that we could propose our layout options to them. They chose one of these layouts as per their requirement. Our job was to take care of everyone in the facility--making sure that everything went smoothly during development, installation, and supply within 4-6 weeks without any disruptions to operational processes.

The Results
Within 4 weeks we delivered the furniture, and within 1-2 weeks installation was completed. We were challenged by the lab space's unusual layout, which required us to design a custom solution for it, but we were able to deliver our project on time because of everyone's involvement in the process--including lab users, project team members, and managers. Everyone was pleased with the outcome of the project, and they were especially happy that they wouldn't have to sacrifice their ongoing work.
